A Rhode Island Backyard Wedding - Jen + Dan
The term "it takes a village" took on an entirely new meaning when I arrived at Jen + Dan's wedding, and realized Jen was nowhere near close to being in her wedding dress. Ever the happy bride, Jen was flitting around to the front yard of her parents house in yoga pants and a comfy shirt to check the arbor (an hour and a half before her ceremony), on the back porch, putting together her and her bridesmaid's bouquets (an hour before the ceremony) and finally sitting down to have her hair done a half hour before her ceremony started. Not only was she busying herself with these tasks, but her friends and family were all hustling to make sure everything was put together, right as guests were arriving. Everything came together perfectly for the most amazing backyard wedding I have ever seen (I particularly loved when Jen's mother was seated and exclaimed, "I can't believe this is my yard!!"). My favorite part of their day was during the reception, when Dan surprised her with a sweet serenade of "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" on his ukelele, accompanied by all of his groomsmen. The look on Jen's face was one I won't soon forget, and how I know these two will always keep surprising each other for years to come! Jen + Dan, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your amazing day! :)
