Colonel Williams Inn Wedding, Marlboro VT - Caroline + Rocio

If there could have been a better payoff to weekend after weekend of rainy weddings, it was Caroline and Rocio's wedding day at Colonel Williams Inn. The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, and the love surrounding these two was incredible. Caroline and Rocio must have had the most laidback getting ready period I've ever walked into; when I showed up (an hour early, I get nervous on wedding days!) they were walking hand in hand on the property, and only started getting ready for their first look about a half hour beforehand! I loved that Caroline did her own hair and makeup, and Rocio had two of her friends helping her get ready in just the room over from Caroline.

When it came time for their first look, I knew how emotional it would be, and I love how absorbed they were in each other. Folks, when you do a first look, don't be afraid to emote, look your partner up and down, and just genuinely take in the fact that you're looking at your person on your wedding day when (virtually) no other eyes have seen you yet!

One of my favorite parts about their day was that instead of Rocio waiting for Caroline at the top of the aisle, they decided to walk down the aisle together. It made me so happy to see them with the amazing grins on their faces in both getting to take in that walk together! Also, both Caroline and Rocio play in classic bands, and it was always a dream of Caroline's to play with her band on her wedding day. She and Rocio were able to do just that, with several members of their friend circle coming together to play a tympani, with only a quick rehearsal right before their guests arrived to the reception. To hear them play together truly gave goosebumps!

I want to thank Caroline and Rocio for welcoming me into their lives and allowing me to capture their amazing day for them. I hope next time I'm in Vermont, I can definitely catch them for a drink at Whetstone Station! :)
