I knew right away upon meeting Sophie and Howie that I was going to love shooting their wedding. After our first initial meeting, they stayed for two hours and had lunch with me, and I knew if we could get along this easily when first meeting, their wedding day was going to be so much fun. Sophie is the kind of low key bride you don't see very often, to the tune of other than just wearing a dress and walking down the aisle, not really caring about any of the other traditional wedding day details! I still laugh every time I remember my final meeting with them before the wedding, where Sophie said she would have gotten married at a courthouse if she had the option, and Howie piping up, "But I wanted to be swept off my feet!!" :) You better believe this was still an emotionally packed day though - one of my favorite moments of their day was watching them read their vows from each other while back to back, and when they finally turned around for their first look, how emotional they both were to finally see each other. They both also jumped at every chance for us to take awesome and creative portraits at The Boat House Restaurant, and every time I would be out scouting the venue, I would hear Howie yell, "SARA!! DO YOU WANT TO TAKE MORE PHOTOS?? OKAY!!" Seriously, a photographer loves nothing more than a couple who will drop everything and run for a great sunset photo. These two rocked the entire day, and I hope their wedding is just the beginning of a great friendship with these two! Sophie and Howie, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your awesome day! :)
