Backyard Wedding in Rhode Island - Jaclyn + Rob

One of the sweetest things I've ever had a groom say during an initial meeting happened when I met Jaclyn and Rob last year. He told me he didn't want her to wear any makeup on their wedding day, because why would you want to hide her beautiful lashes and freckles? Does it get any cuter than that, I mean really?!

Well it does, because on Jackie and Rob's wedding day, their was so much love between them and surrounding them. I had been following Jackie's Instagram and watching them prepare to turn an old farmhouse they rented the year before into their dream wedding venue, and even though I had seen all the changes in pictures, I still was in awe when I turned down the road to their house. Jackie, Rob and their amazing friends and family had cleared acres of brush and trees, planted hundred of flowers, put up their own tent (NOT an easy feat!) and transformed the outside of their barn into a gorgeous ceremony site, as well as an amazing tap house/bar area inside the basement! Did I mention Jackie and Rob brewed all the beverages themselves? A labor of love, indeed :)

My favorite part of the day was during the ceremony when they were reading their personal vows to each other. Jackie and Rob were so heartfelt in their words to each other, and you could tell their friends and family were absorbing every beautiful word. The best part? Instead of the normal "step in and kiss your bride," Rob took a second to pull Jackie in, tilt up her chin, and give her THE BEST first kiss I've ever seen at a wedding!

Oh, and one more favorite part? When I ate my own words, put on a pair of Rob's mud boots, and ended up jumping into a tick and poison ivy-filled field. Trust me, the images were worth it.

Jackie and Rob, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your amazing day!
