Lia and Glenn, I was so honored to capture your wedding day! I've known Lia from our time working in Montville, and I just remember how happy and bubbly she was that first day of teacher orientation. When she found out I was also a wedding photographer, she was so excited and told me how hopeful she was that Glenn would be popping the question soon! When she reached out to me a year later to capture their wedding, I was so honored that she would chose me to capture their wedding day at The Inn at Mystic. On the morning of their wedding, the sky opened and poured so much rain, I couldn't see the lines on the highway on the way to her mother's house! I told Lia it was the first time I ever had to use my magic umbrella, (a clear umbrella I always keep in my car on wedding days in case the bride and groom need to take cover), but I was hopeful that even though I had it, I wouldn't need to use it by the time they left their ceremony. Sure enough, when Lia and Glenn left the church after their ceremony, there wasn't another drop of rain for the rest of the day! (Behold the power of the magic umbrella!!)
One of my favorite moments during Lia and Glenn's wedding was something that went unheard and unseen by most people, but is one I won't soon forget. Right after their first dance, they sat down at their sweetheart table and Lia said, "Glenn, look at this. Look at all of our family and friends that are here! Can you believe this?" It's a moment that sometimes get lost during the craziness of the day, but it made my heart swell to hear them taking in how incredible it was to be surrounded by all their friends and family.
